City of San Fernando, Philippines—Two new novices are admitted to the Novitiate during a simple Rite of Admission presided by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Jose Aripio, at the SSP Novitiate Chapel in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on May 31, 2015

These two new novices completed the Adult Vocation Program at St. Paul Seminary Foundation in Silang, Cavite. By profession, Nov. Gleindolf Cadiz (Las Pinas) is a nurse, while Nov. Michael Empizo (Tublay, Benguet) is a mathematics teacher. After serving their Postulancy formation in Makati and other SSP communities in the Visayas and Mindanao area, they are now ready to fulfill their canonical year at the Novitiate House.

Present during the Rite of Admission are the outgoing novices, the Novice Master, Fr. Dane Lumabas, and members of the SSP Pampanga Community.

In a brief address to the new novices, Fr. Aripio has reiterated that Novitiate is a period of one’s religious journey where one should be convinced of his vocation, thus, fortifying it through prayer, meditation, a deeper understanding of the Congregation’s mission and the theology of religious life. He also asked from all present to remember him in their prayers as he begins serving the Circumscription through his new mandate as Provincial Superior.

Noel Magbanua and Bro. Roque Ocampo served as witnesses to the event. A simple banquet followed.
