St Paul Novitiate, City of San Fernando, Pampanga—On the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, June 2, 2013, the SSP Philippines-Macau welcomed nine new members to the congregation as they professed for the first time the vows of evangelical counsels and of fidelity to the Roman Pontiff in a Eucharistic Celebration presided by the Provincial Superior Fr. Jose S. Aripio, SSP.

They are SSP clerics Micha Miguel Lorenzo Competente, Jose Felix Peter Cortez, Edward Ignacio Dantis, Sebastian Teofilo Gadia III, John Marie Anthony Claret Losbañes, Paul Vincent Pio Octubre, Oliver Mary Vergel Par, Clarence Agostino Sazon and Samy John Joseph Torrefranca.

In his homily, Fr. Rollin Flores, SSP, challenged the neo-professed to live out their being nourished by the Eucharist and thus to be bread for others. The Superior General Don Silvio Sassi, SSP also stressed that “participation in the body and blood of Christ, in fact, has no other goal than “Christification,” that is, transforming us—in mind, will and heart and live in the apostolate— into Him whom we receive.”

Fr. Andres Inting, SSP and Br. Dennis Figuerres officially stood as witnesses. After the announcements of apostolic assignments and the messages of gratitude, meal fellowship followed.
