June 07, 2009 (SSP Novitiate House, City of San Fernando)—On the occasion of the Solemnity of Most Holy Trinity three young men—Vicente Baracina (from Iriga City, Bicol Region), Dindo D. Purto (from Banga, South Cotabato, Island of Mindanao) and Reymel J. Ramos (from Hamtic, Antique, Panay Island)—made their first profession of the vows of poverty, chastity, obedience, and fidelity to the Roman Pontiff at the St. Paul Novitiate Chapel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Parents, relatives and friends came all the way from the different provinces and islands to attend the occasion.

Fr. Ruben C. Areño, Provincial Superior of the Philippine-Macau Province, emphasized that the consecrated life must reflect the Trinitarian aspects: the Fatherhood of God reflects the creativity, sustenance, and providence; the Sonship of Jesus reflects the outpouring anxiety of God to redeem and bring back humanity to Himself with his sacrificial obedience; and the Love embodied by the Holy Spirit as the fire that maintains the zealousness of every apostle.

Likewise on the same occasion, seven Juniors—John Klen Malificiar, Ian Paul Empig, Angelo Paolo Asprer, Jay Aguilar, Archieleneus Carmelius Angelus Llanos, Anthony Viray, and Jun Manuel Reyes—renewed their vows for another year.

Friendships were renewed as the novitiate community, under the leadership of the local superior Fr. Tim Melliza with the collaboration of benefactors and friends of the Divine Master, prepared a sumptuous meal for all visitors.
